There are loads of things happening this year:

  • Over 200 ‘shining lights’ volunteers out on the trail to help make this a truly memorable event and to ensure your safety.  Don’t forget to vote for your favourite AID station.

  • We have some amazing medals this year – the place getters medals are very special and no expense has been spared.  The finisher medals are amazing and we are sure you will be proud to show them off, in fact, we believe they will take pride of place in your medal collection with their unique design.

  • All participants in the Ekiden Relay will receive this specially designed medal with the Japanese symbol for ‘friendship’, together with a certificate with team names and time.

  • Dinner @ the Tavern (Axedale) join in on our celebrations Saturday 22nd 6.00pm, pasta and a glass of wine plus a live band all for $20.  There will be a silent auction and the chance to go home with some really great stuff!

  • See yourself on our amazing 4m x 2.5 metre digital screen.

  • Download our Event Map on Avenza  - this map will provide you with all the information you need to know – from where to park to where to access Ekiden change over points.

  • There will be after race entertainment at Heathcote provided by Vinnie – Australia’s leading DJ with a disability, and several of our local community groups cooking up a storm, everything from egg and bacon rolls through to pancakes.  Things for the kids to do as well, including face painting, kids races and novelty races including our favourite mascot race, so bring some small change with you.

  • Coaches/buses to transport runners between Bendigo & Heathcote – timetables will be out soon.

AND there is more
