Introducing Heathcote’s Village Green.
Another new activity for the O’Keefe Challenge, is the Village Green. On Sunday 22nd April the area along High Street, at the Barrack Reserve will be transformed into Heathcote’s very own Village Green.
The area will house our Kids Space, Village Market and Village Bar .
Kids space will provide a no alcohol and smoke free zone for parents and families looking for a place to sit, have some time out from the busy activities and to enjoy some ‘goodies’ produced by our local schools.
The Village Market promises to be a hive of activity with over 40 stall holders. Our market will be different to Heathcote’s normal bush market, it will focus on health and wellbeing and provide a variety of products to purchase at true market prices.
There will be displays from our local sponsors, some offering a bargain or two, so make sure you rock up early and don’t miss out. There will also be a range of food vendors and the opportunity to purchase sporting and health products. Several ‘ lucky draws’ , will be strategically positioned around the market, with the chance to pick up a prize or two.
A number of our local producers specialising in locally produced wine, craft beer and gin, will provide the perfect place to sit, and wind down, whilst watching the many activities happening on the green and the oval, whilst partaking in a glass of our unique local brew, and catching up with a few friends
Live music will be supplied by one of very own much loved and listened to artists, Bill Featherstone.
Kids Space and the Village market will be open from 8.00am to 3.00pm whilst the Village Bar will open at 1pm.
