2026 O’Keefe Challenge Update
Hi Everyone
The O’Keefe Rail Trail Board met on 24th September 2025 to discuss the future of The O’Keefe Challenge event. It was voted unanimously to postpone the O’Keefe Challenge for 2026 and spend the extra time planning for a 2027 event to revamp and revitalise our Challenge event.
The O’Keefe Challenge has been operating for 10 years with most members of our amazing committee being on board for an extended period. With Nigel Preston stepping down from the Event Director position at the conclusion of the 2025 event, the Board feel that it’s time to have a refresh and look ahead to the future of The O’Keefe Challenge.
The O’Keefe Rail Trail Board AGM meeting will be held Wednesday 26th November 6pm at Axedale Tavern and everyone is welcome to attend. Nominations for board positions will be emailed out prior to the AGM – Please let me know if you would like to receive a nomination form if you are not currently on the board.
Thank you for all the amazing work our volunteers and community groups have put in to make The O’Keefe Challenge such a successful community event. We understand and appreciate the effort everyone on our team puts in every year. We look forward to working together again for the 2027 event.
